How the Dubai rate is set
Dubai is the largest gold market in the region, and the Gold Souq in Deira is its best-known retail centre.
The figures above are the the UAE national gold rate, which is what jewellers in Dubai price against. There is no separate Dubai rate for the metal itself - two shops in the same street will quote different totals for the same chain because their making charges differ, not because their gold costs a different amount.
