How the Ibri rate is set
Ibri is the main town of Ad Dhahirah, in Oman's north-west interior.
The figures above are the Oman national gold rate, which is what jewellers in Ibri price against. There is no separate Ibri rate for the metal itself - two shops in the same street will quote different totals for the same chain because their making charges differ, not because their gold costs a different amount.
